How I Keep Track of Time
In general, I work with stuff. I help my clients curate their stuff, store their stuff, create systems for their stuff… in general making sure that they use their stuff, rather than the other way around!
But as a business owner, I’m also grappling with time. Namely, the fact that there isn’t enough of it in the day to do all the things I need and want to do!
If I don’t have a watch on my wrist, my day gets out of hand. Yes, I know, every electronic device has a clock on it, but nothing beats a good old fashioned check of the wrist for speed and seamlessness.
Plus, as I’ve mentioned before, one of my strategies for creating work/life balance is to leave my phone plugged in at my desk while I’m at home. So, if I’m doing laundry, washing dishes, or taking my dog for a walk, I may not actually have a digital clock in my immediate vicinity, and can easily lose track of time.
Luckily there are a lot of great options out there to avoid getting lost in a black hole of lost time. One of my favorites is Thümm & Co -- a premium selection of women's and men's watches founded by a father and son team on the principles of affordability, durability, and quality. I love that they are super transparent about their global supply chain, from the design to the sourcing of their materials.
To me, the best part of the Iona watch from Thümm & Co is that it looks like a fashion watch, but functions as a rugged everyday watch! I have two stainless steel watches and had always wanted one with a leather strap but didn’t want to commit to something that would need to be repaired or replaced all the time. The Iona watch solves that problem for me: the leather strap is lined with fluoroelastomer, which provides a sweat resistant barrier.
The Iona watch comes very prettily boxed with a cloth pouch for storage. You know I never keep the boxes for jewelry, shoes, or purses, but I do like having small lightweight bags for storage or travel. It can also be custom engraved on the back - I of course chose my initials! I do love a good monogram.
How do you keep track of time every day?

Thank you to Thümm & Co. for providing the Iona watch. This post is not sponsored and all opinions are my own.
